Las Vegas - Jeff Pulver, the purple pundit of the VoIP world, is, in his own words "Officially back" and open to do anything from comment on current government policies, to participate in tradeshows related to his original baby.
FierceVoIP caught up with Pulver between sessions at his one day "Social Media Jungle" event held in cooperation with CES 2009. He wished Virgo Publications's efforts to revive the VON tradeshow and publications "well" since VON was "his baby."
Any doubts of Pulver's influence in the IP communications community lessening after his eight-month, self-imposed exile were put to rest earlier this week with his "Goodbye and See ya [1]"-style post to outgoing FCC Chairman Kevin Martin on Monday. Communications Daily reports that a FCC spokesperson felt obliged to defend Martin's VoIP policies, claiming that VoIP had "flourished" under the Chairman's reign. She wouldn't address why Martin had snubbed the VON conferences for four years.
