Cost savings moves more companies to UC - 2010 Predictions
This segment could also be entitled: "It's still the economy, stupid." Yes, 2010 is still bright and new as we just got back to work after our New Year's celebrations. Even the stock market might be experiencing a new year bounce, but I am not sure much has changed in the last month that the economy is supposed to really bounce back.
What does that mean? Well for one it means SMB's and enterprises will be looking to move to VoIP, SIP Trunking and UC as soon as possible. All those statistics about cost savings by smart companies who switched in 2009 will not go unnoticed in 2010. Companies that haven't made the jump are sure to do so in force this year.
According to Infonetics, SIP trunking service revenue is expected to have an 89 percent compound annual growth rate from 2008 to 2013. Hosted UC services are expected to "take off," with worldwide revenue doubling over the next four years. Sounds like a good prediction to us.
