Why it's Fierce: Mobile UC is the place to be and the DiVitas corporate vision continues to steadily evolve beyond the me-too basics of dual-mode, FMC yadda-yadda into an integrated philosophy including microblogging, social networking, and visual voicemail features.  Appliances are out and a software-only philosophy is in.  Finally, the company also has a hosted service option for VoIP providers along with its traditional enterprise model.

In three years time, DiVitas has rapidly moved from the "race car" logo award phase into announcing customer deployments across a variety of markets, including carrier, education, government, and health care.  We're looking forward for the company to take the next step along the Hourihan path with making bigger and better customer wins.  And bonus points for the openness of founder/CEO/foodie Vivek Khuller.
