Avaya streamlines employee roles in new UC product

Tools

With its announcement of IP Office 5, Avaya is attempting to streamline the sales and deployments processes for its flagship UC product. The new system delineates six separate work station configurations designed for different types of workers, such as teleworkers and contact center agents.

Avaya said this structure will allow its VARs and other customers to explain the individual benefits of specific functions in the UC product for certain employees, making the sales cycle more transparent for partners and the benefits of purchase more apparent to buyers. Also, the company will now offer three tiers of inter-enterprise collaborations features, a basic "essential" package, a "preferred" option and an "advanced" offering, which tailor the functions of the system to the needs of particular organizations.
