BT demonstrates new UC app at VoiceCon

Tools

BT has demonstrated a new unified communications application called Finder for Microsoft OCS 2007 that lets users determine how and when to receive essential messages. BT said it uses the application internally already, and it has increased employee operating efficiency and effectiveness.

"Finder shows how Office Communications Server 2007 R2 functionality can easily be integrated into existing business process automation initiatives to provide cost and time savings for our customers," said Randy Schrock, BT vice president of corporate alliances. "Delivering Microsoft related unified communications services is a key strategy for BT as we help our enterprise customers maximize their return on investment in Microsoft technologies."

BT Finder lets end-users set multiple filters and parameters for when, how and by whom they want to be contacted, including adding email-to-voice message delivery to cellular phones.
