Charter grows voice revenues, adds customers in Q2
Charter Communications reported second-quarter financials Monday, adding 56,900 voice customers. Though Charter does not break out its VoIP and POTS customers, increased uptake of bundled offerings with VoIP likely caused the subscriber growth. The MSO also reported a significant increase in telephony revenues, as the division accounted for $177 million in revenues for the quarter, up from $134 million in Q2 2008.
Charter continues to restructure as it seeks to eliminate $8 billion from its oppressive $21 billion-plus debt burden.
