CounterPath Adds SIP Audio Conferencing

CounterPath has announced Quick Conference (QC), a SIP-based audio conferencing solution for businesses.

With QC, any employee can set up an audio conference by simply dialing an extension off the enterprise PBX and then selecting an ad-hoc four digit bridge number of their choice; four digit numbers can also be permanently reserved for use. QC can be integrated with any PBX through SIP trunking or a SIP/TDM gateway; it can also be deployed as a managed hosted service and is available through CounterPath and select OEM partners.

Other features provided include web-based management, integration with Counterpath's Bria softphone, remote management for mobile workers, and calendar integration with Microsoft Outlook and IBM Lotus Notes.  QC has a web services architecture for integrating in customer apps and plug-ins. It also has flexible white-lable options to allow customers to brand the offering with their own design preferences.
