Leasing program to lure SMBs

Apptix has partnered with Solarcom Capital to offer a leasing program and a hosted VoIP service targeting SMBs baulking at the cost of installing handsets and associated hardware.Apptix is also offering high definition Polycom handsets at promotional rates as it seeks to lure small businesses to make the transition to VoIP.

IDC estimates there are 560,000 Hosted VoIP seats, representing $318.9M in revenues. "This market is expected to grow to 2,434,000 seats (45.5% CAGR) and $1,144.6M in revenues (38.6% CAGR) by 2011,"  said Will Stofega, research manager for VoIP services at IDC.

Apptix has been operating in the hosted messaging space and are strongly promoting their understanding of small business needs and ability to closely service messaging and communication needs of very small to mid size business. Apptix says the greatest need small business operators have for their communications is to manage their cash flow and to "look bigger than they are" as their business ramps up.

The leasing program for a five person set up would cost approximately $76.44 per month for 24 months with a $1.00 buyout option (not including plan cost). The same equipment and installation would cost $1,590.00 up-front in a purchase. Apptix has a basic  hosted voice program which starts at $39 a month.
