More Vonage patent news

Maybe Vonage will wind up spending all its IPO money in court. (Doesn't that happen to big lottery winners, too?) Klausner Technologies, which already collects royalties on voice mail from Time Warner, is suing Vonage for infringing on VoIP voicemail patents. The suit, filed like many others in the Eastern District of Texas, seeks $180 million. In unrelated Vonage patent news, Vonage this week bought three patents from Digital Packet Licensing having to do with compressing packetized digital signals and is apparently using those patents as leverage in its own ongoing litigation against Sprint and Verizon.
