Nortel/Avaya integration sees first steps

Tools

According to TMC.net the International Nortel Networks Users Association (INNUA) has agreed to Avaya's integration plan to integrate the Nortel product line into Avaya and slowly migrate Nortel customers over to the Avaya Aura platform.

With the production and sale of Nortel's Dialer, the 5300 application server, and the CS1K communications server's "m" version being discontinued in six months, Nortel customers need to take a close look at what their future has in store. The INNUA is taking measures to make sure their members are updating their upgrade plans so that they are prepared to the new products they will be incorporating when some of the Nortel equipment is no longer available.

You mean the Nortel dialer they were OEMing from Siemens (SER)?? Shocking that Avaya would want to use their own, simply shocking.
