ooma signs deal with RadioShack

ooma, whose VoIP device offers free U.S. calling with no monthly fee, announced it has signed its third major distribution deal in the past six months and now will be available in more than 3,000 RadioShack locations. ooma also has deals with national retailers Best Buy and Micro Center.

ooma sells its hardware device bundle for $249.99, and also offers a premium package of features for $12.99 per month. The company, which struggled for a time due to high priced devices and lack of distribution channels, has seen strong sales growth since lowering the cost of its Hub product from $400 to $249.99 and significantly expanding its reseller channels.
