Skype adds screen share for PCs
Skype released Skype Beta 4.1 for Windows this week and the service now supports screen sharing for PC users as well as PC-to-Mac screen sharing. The update also lets users load their contacts into Skype from a variety of communications programs, such as Gmail, AOL and LinkedIn, among others.
Screen sharing has been available on Macs since January, but while third-party developers had enabled screen sharing for PCs, the actual Skype client did not support the feature until now. The beta release is now available on the Skype website.
