Skype launches high quality video

Skype launched its high quality video product last week featuring a 640x480 (VGA) resolution at 30fps. The new service has been positively reviewed although Skype has copped flack for tying the improved performance to higher performance Logitech cameras and Intel dual processor boxes.

But while there has been some noise, the improvement is stark and will go a long way to improving the user experience which has been fair to average for most users, even for those with good equipment and connectivity.
