SWAT Team shuts Bangladeshi VoIP providers

Tools

More on Bangladeshi VoIP: You'll recall that the nation outlawed all VoIP, closed a bunch of outbound call centers at the point of a gun (with some political overtones) and then started talking about issuing licenses. The latest is that authorities there sent a SWAT team to seize the hosted service company Aktel that was providing service to five VoIP carriers. No arrests, but the equipment was carried off. Despite attempts at regulation and licensing, VoIP in Bangladesh remains illegal.
