TalQer consumer VoIP goes live

Tools

Consumer VoIP carrier TalQer finally launched late last week. The service, from Vozin Communications, can act either as a stand-alone utility or as a plug-in to Google Talk and Skype. The service touches all the usual bases (though for now it is Windows-only), and allows customers to put a TalQer button within Skype and Google Talk windows and use those address books. So why use it? Price and standards. TalQer is SIP-based, so it will work with SIP phones and Asterisk. And at 1.5 cents per minute to 22 countries, it's priced lower than SkypeOut. Because it's U.S.-based instead of Europe, TalQer isn't subject to VAT.

Talqer does not work and stole my money.

Stay away from Talqer.

Both free and paid talquin numbers are bogus, they do not exist. These people steal your money . Anyone interested in class action?

The free talqin number 515-862-9272 you get tells you to go to freedigits.com and sign up for another "free" VOIP junk.

Appalling.
