Vodafone hit for lack of a VoIP interconnect

Tools

You'll recall that the U.K.'s Vodafone and Orange got a bunch of bad publicity last week for yanking the VoIP capabilities out of Nokia's N95 handset. Now IP carrier Truphone is saying that Vodafone is refusing to interconnect with its network. Truphone CEO James Tagg is threatening to sue, but hopes instead to get the weight of public opinion to move Vodafone. For its part, Vodafone says Truphone hasn't supplied all the technical information required to interconnect, and that Vodafone was already in the process of making Truphone live. U.K. regulators do not require mobile operators to interconnect with all networks.
