VoIP leaders of 2007

The year has been a dynamic one for the VoIP sector and 2008 promises even more opportunity for those firms that have taken up the challenge and are leading the industry as it explodes beyond service providers and into the fertile world of enterprise and unified communications.

On Thursday we profile 10 companies that have emerged as leaders in the VoIP space. Some large, others small, independent and nimble. Some will surprise, others will be on the list, but not for reasons you may have thought.

Preparing the list we were struck by how it was companies with a strong vision, a sharp focus on what was needed and an ability to deliver a product or solution to meet a clear market demand which were emerging as VoIP champions.  Tom

Voip companies have also gained by not having to pay so many access charges to complete calls. But, voip carriers are not billing Carrier Access Billing either.

Not quite sure what is the criteia of selecting these, when companies with more then 3 years of
existance have less than one million in revenues
and still call themselves THE LEADER.

Do they know what THE LEADER means ;-)

you mean 'the leader' without a leader (ceo less sip... voip company)? heard horror stories about their founder.
may be they have found a super special niche to be 'the leader' in that dark corner no one goes to.
if they have sales of 1m/year then entire market
size must be about 4m...'cause they are 'the leader'
and should have at least 25% market share ==1m
