Why eBay bought Skype

Skype and eBay are suggesting that we may have been wrong last year--lots of people scratched their heads when the online auction giant bought the semi-mysterious VoIP company for $2.6 billion (with a "b"). This week, we found out why. We need to talk to salespeople. Starting next week, sellers in 14 "high-touch" product categories will be able to put a "Skype Me" button on their listings, so prospects can talk to sellers for free. They spent $2.6 billion for this?
